I wanted to call this “Mother fuckin 5-minute frosé!!!!” but I stopped myself because Google wouldn’t like it (eye roll).
Here’s the backstory on this – obviously I knew I needed to do a frosé recipe for you guys because helllooooooooo SUMMER ’17 but I had never made it before so I started looking at recipes online just to get like a base – a starting point – so I could go to work at creating something that wasn’t FULL of sugar (like 99% of frozen rosés are).
Ummmm…it’s so complicated?
Freeze rosé in ice cube trays the night before. BUT WHAT IF YOU HAVE AN ICE MAKER.
Pouring rosé into a baking dish and freezing it overnight. Ummmm first of all, I don’t have room in my freezer for that and also I don’t PLAN for when I want an icy alcoholic beverage. I want one when I WANT one. And I want it NOW.
Combinerosé with sugar, boil, and create a syrup……..lolol. no.
I feel like this is coming off as really dramatic, but I literally spiraled into a deep dark frosé internet hole one day just trying to find ONE recipe that wasn’t so annoying.
Didn’t find one!
So I said well fuck it I’m just gonna start blending wine and berries and see what I come up with.
And I got relatively drunk. But I did it for you.
So here’s the thing, if you want to really go all out and be fancy, here is a good frosé recipe – go at it.
But if you’re the type of person to walk out on the porch and yell across the yard to your neighbors, “HEY.. .YOU WANNA COME OVER AND DRINK FROSE ON THE PORCH AND TALK ABOUT INSTAGRAM FILTERS?” (this is one of my fav topics to discuss over girlie drinks, you can insert whatever you want there), then this recipe is for you.
You just need a blender, some frozen strawberries, a bottle of crisp rosé, lemon juice (optional, but I highly recommend), some vodka (also optional buuuuuut yes?), and a little sugar.
And guys, this recipe is literally half the amount of sugar most other frosé recipes or anything you’d get while out. That being said, this is really for a treat because a serving still has 16g sugar! (although my servings are generous….haaaaaaa). It’s also got 2g of fiber/glass from the strawberries, because #bloodsugarcontrol.

Notes
I only tried this with strawberries, but some sweet cherries and ripe raspberries would probably be delicious.
I highly recommend IF you plan ahead a little, to buy your fruit fresh and then freeze it. I just find that if you pick out really good, sweet fruit, it tastes a lot better than buying your fruit frozen.
Happy first day of summer, babes. And CHEERS.
