You take pride in being a rule follower. You’re probably the person that slows down at yellow lights instead of flooring it and hand-kissing your roof in hopes of “making it.” But when you are too strict of a rule follower in the health/wellness realm, you can unintentionally put too much stress on your body.
You do everything right, but you just can’t ever seem to get the results you want. Hell, you’d be happy with any results at all. This may be difficult to hear, but it’s possible you’re not eating enough. And that you’re exercising too much. And if you’re like most Rule Followers I know, you may not be eating nearly enough carbs. These are all stressors on your body. When the body experiences long term, chronic stress (yes, even in the form of dieting) it can cause a series of problems in the body that can slow down your metabolism to a point where it can make losing weight impossible.
